3 climbers missing during Everest expedition, Rescue operation continues

Solukhumbu: Three climbers have gone missing during the Mount Everest expedition.

The Chief District Officer of Solukhumbu, Basanta Bhattarai informed NepalViews that 3 climbers had gone missing after an avalanche occurred in the dam region, between Everest Base Camp and Camp-1.

Bhattarai said, 'About 3 climbers have gone missing. All three of them are Nepali citizens.' Climbers Dr.Chhiree Sherpa, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa, and Lakpa Rita Sherpa have gone missing.

He said a rescue helicopter from Simrik Air has been trying to rescue and search the climbers. Bhattarai informed that the SPCC and Image Nepal team has coordinated the rescue operation but has not been successful.
