Government urges loan-shark victims to withdraw agitation

Kathmandu: The government has urged agitating loan-shark victims to withdraw the protest citing that the government has already proceeded with providing them justice.

At a press meeting organized to unveil the decisions of the Council of Ministers here on Friday, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, urged the group to stop agitating as the process for justice has begun.

She expected cooperation from them in the government's efforts to deliver justice.

The Minister said the government has taken ahead with the process of drafting required laws to prevent shylocking and a high-level committee has been formed to deal with the problem.
