Police intervene doctors' demonstration (Photos)

Kathmandu: Police have intervened in the demonstration of doctors at Maitighar.

Doctors gathered at Maitighar to demand professional safety on Tuesday. They demanded the guarantee of safety in the professional area as well as amendment of the acts on the safety of health workers and health institutions in the workplace.

Police obstructed their movement towards New Baneshwor. Few doctors have reported to be injured in the tussle. Doctors started their protest after a fellow doctor was attacked in Manipal Teaching Hospital on Monday.

Doctors have raised their voices after doctors faced physical assaults in several hospitals in the past few weeks.
