Bajhang earthquake update: One dead, 135 houses damaged

Kathmandu: A person lost his life to an earthquake in Bajhang. The deceased has been identified as Gunamati Dhami, 40, of Jayaprithvi municipality-11, Okhal.
According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Inspector Dipesh Chaudhary, Dhami died when he was trapped in a landslide following the earthquake on Tuesday.
A police team has been mobilized at the incident site, it is informed. Some 11 people were injured in an earthquake in Bajhang. Two returned home after treatment while nine were treated at the district hospital.
Police informed that the earthquake caused damage to 135 structures in the district. Chaudhary further shared at least 60 houses were damaged in Thalara and 41 houses in Jayaprithvi municipality.
