Helicopter crash, injured pilot out of danger

Kathmandu: A helicopter from Manang Air has crashed.

The helicopter flying from Lukla to Lobuche crashed while landing at Lobuche of Khumbupasang Lhamu Rural Municipality at 7:24 a.m.

'The helicopter pilot Prakash Kumar Sedai, the only one onboard, was injured in the accident and airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, according to the information officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal,' Gyanendra Bhul. He is out of danger.

When the incident took place, the helicopter had gone to Lobuche to pick up tourists. The reason for the accident will be known only after further investigation, said Bhul.
