PM Dahal: 500 million for Mustang to mitigate damages of climate change

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has announced to make 500 million (50 crore) rupees available to mitigate the damage of climate change in Mustang.

PM Dahal announced the sum on Wednesday. He said that an international organization would be providing the sum to mitigate the damage of climate change,  which would be made available to Mustang.

PM Dahal said, 'Climate change is not only a national but a global challenge and the government is serious about controlling its effect in Mustang.' He said that the unusual melting of snow in the mountain region had drastically affected the lives of people and the ecosystem.
