Kathmandu: Police have arrested the activists from Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal.

Police arrested the activists from the west gate of the Parliament House, New Baneshwor. Police arrested 18 activists, including the founder of the Society Krishna Pahadi, Former Chairperson Uttam Pudasaini, and Central Chairperson Ram Krishna Baral.

They demonstrated highlighting several demands. Canceling the holiday on People War's Day on 1st Falgun, ensuring justice for the victim and punishment for the perpetrator as per the Peace Agreement, making the presented bill on transitional justice more human rights friendly, etc. were some of their demands.
