CM Jammakattel: Periodic plan should incorporate issues from all three tiers

Kathmandu: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Shalikram Jammakattel has said the periodic plan should align with the spirit of the constitution in order to achieve sustainable development goals.

The plan needs to incorporate the issues from all three tiers of government, he stressed. During a discussion organized by the National Planning Commission on the preliminary draft of the 16th periodic plan here Monday, the Chief Minister suggested the Commission reflect government policy and programs as per the changed context in the plan.

He further viewed the proper use of resources in the province as another priority in the periodic plan. On the occasion, National Planning Commission member Prabhu Budhathoki expressed the view that the plan was being prepared with the goal of achieving good governance, social justice, and prosperity.

Similarly, the Province Policy and Planning Commission's Vice Chair Prof Dr. Narbikram Thapa viewed the prosperity and sustainable development of the province must be stressed by the national plan.
