Dhangadhi: The local administration has issued a prohibition in Kanchanpur. The administration ordered prohibition after panic arose due to the conflict over installing a sculpture of the Late King Mahendra.

Kanchanpur District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari issued the prohibition order to be effective from Thursday. The main road between Sambidhan Chowk and the sculpture of Dashrath Chand of Bhimdutta Municipality-4 in the east and the sculptor of the Madan Bhandari in the west has been prohibited.

The prohibition would last for seven days. More than 5 people are not allowed to gather for demonstrations, sloganeering, hunger strikes, protest programs, etc. as per the prohibition.

There was a schedule of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden to inaugurate the sculptor of King Mahendra in Sambidhan Chowk. However, the local administration issued a prohibition before the beginning of the program.
