Home Minister Shrestha commits to punish guilty in Balkumari incident

Kathmandu: Deputy PM and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has expressed commitment to punish the guilty in the Balkumari incident on Friday.

Minister Shrestha gave his commitment during the meeting of the State Order and Good Governances committee on Monday. He said that the government has formed a high-level commission for investigation and would be moving forward after receiving the report.

Minister Shrestha said, 'The government already has formed an investigation commission. Whoever is found guilty in the investigation will serve punishment,' He said, 'I  firmly commit to this.'

He said that the families of the deceased ones would be provided 1 million( 10 lakh), other financial assistance, and employment arrangements for 1 member of the family.
