NTA Chairperson Khanal resigns

Kathmandu: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) Chairperson Purushottam Khanal has resigned.

Chairperson Khanal went to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and resigned on Tuesday.He has been accused of being unable to work.

His tenure would have ended in Shrawan. Khanal faced huge criticism in the internet service providers' tax collection and Ncell Share transactions case. He even faced the accusation that the Smart Cell cancellation procedure was not functioning.

Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has also investigated Khanal in various scandals including MDMS.
