Kathmandu: Hindu Samaj has closed the market in Birgunj Metropolitan City. They shut down the market as a demonstration against the Rautahat incident.

Demonstrations by the Hindu Samaj resulted in the traders closing the market and the decreasing movement in the market. Most shops in the main market area in Ghantaghar, Mai Sthan, Adarsh Nagar, and GhadiarwaPohri have been closed.

The activists of the Hindu Society, who came out sloganeering on the streets, shouted ‘Jai Shree Ram’. Before beginning the demonstration near the market area, the Hindu Society supporters submitted a memorandum to the Chief District Officer, Parsa.

There was a dispute between 2 groups regarding the idol immersion of Goddess Saraswati in Ishnath Municipality, Rautahat. After the situation became uncontrollable, the Rautahat Administration imposed a curfew in Ishnath Municipality.
