Parliamentary Committee fails to reach agreement on transitional justice bill; Needs to discuss 2 other points

Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Committee has failed to reach an agreement on the bill relating to Transitional Justice.

The committee meeting, on Sunday, was only able to agree upon two out of four points.

The report of the subcommittee, formed to amend the bill for the Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons, Truth, and Reconciliation Act, 2071, had concluded of not being able to reach an agreement on 4 points.

To discuss the report, the meeting took place on Sunday. The Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee succeeded in agreeing upon 2 points.
