CIAA arrests Pokhara Metropolitan Sub Engineer Rokaya with bribe

Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested the Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality Sub- Engineer, and the representative of Godar Consultancy with bribe.

CIAA arrested Usha Kiran, an engineer in Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality's Map branch, and Suraj Kunwar at Godar Consultancy. They were arrested with one-half lakh rupees for completing a house certificate of a customer.

The team deployed from the Gandaki Province of the CIAA arrested Kunwar from Mahendrapul and sub-engineer Rokaya from Malepatan.

Likewise, CIAA claimed that there was a financial transaction to give a map of the completed house in Ward 10, of Pokhara Metropolitan City. CIAA said that further investigation is ongoing.
