Mayor Balen warns not to represent any political party in city council meeting

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City  (KMC) Mayor Balendra "Balen" Shah has warned not to represent any political party in the city council meeting.

Mayor Shah made those statements after the people’s representatives of the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN(UML) boycotted the meeting, called to discuss the program and policy of the city presented on the 14 June (Jeshta 32) of the financial year 2024 -2025.

‘Do not come to the city council meeting of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City with the emblem of the Nepali Congress, CPN(UML),' said Mayor Shah. He said that the right of 160  public representatives to speak was violated because of 3 leaders.
