Simrik Air helicopter crash: One injured succumbs

Kathmandu: A person injured in the Simrik Air helicopter crash at Bhotkhola-4 in Sankhuwasabha district today succumbed, said the police.
The dead has been identified as a local resident Bhabin Gurung. Other four have been severely injured in the crash, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Godar. Gurung was the cargo worker for Simrik Air.
The seriously injured are Captain Surendra Paudel, co-pilot Tshering Bhote, worker Manoj Thapa, and a Nepal Electricity Authority employee Bikram Shankar.
All of the injured have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment, it has been said. The helicopter crashed into a tree at Hammaredanda at Sikprung of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 at 1:10 pm today.
