Excessive heat results in death of 568 people in Pakistan in last 6 days

Kathmandu: The excessive heat has proved fatal for the people of Pakistan. More than 500 people lost their lives in the last 6 days due to the increasing heat. Most of the people of the southern region have been affected due to the increasing temperature.

According to Edhi Ambulance, every day 30 to 40 corpses are brought to the morgue in Karachi. However, the ambulance collected 568 dead bodies, out of which 141 dead bodies were brought on Tuesday.

The number of deaths has increased along with the increase of heat as per the BBC. Karachi's temperature has risen to more than 40 Celsius. Apart from the increasing heat, people are also facing power cut-off issues in Karachi.

Karachi is the only city in Pakistan that is struggling with the heat. Reuters said Karachi recorded 52.2 degrees Celsius last month.
