Rukum West Flood: Death of 3 children, 1 missing

Kathmandu: Three children have died, after their house was swept away due to flood, in Rukum West. Other 7 have been injured and one is missing.

The flood, which occurred in Jhinchaur, Aathbishkot Municipality-12 on Monday night, resulted in the death of three children.

Police said Hitmaya Pun (10 years old), Dhansa Pun (8), and Manisha Karki (4) died. The search operation to find the missing Dilli Bahadur Budhathoki is going on.

The injured ones are receiving treatment in the Municipal Hospital in Aathbiskot. The increase in water level in the Gijagar river swept away the houses and mills.

The local administration has mobilized security personnel for rescue and distributing relief materials.
