Kathmandu: 18 people have died at Saurya Airlines' aircraft 9NAME crash.

According to a statement, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN), 18 bodies were recovered from the site. The CAAN, Captian Manish Shakya (37 years old) was rescued. He is receiving his treatment at KMC Hospital, whereas recovered dead bodies have been sent to Teaching Hospital.

According to the press release, Saurya’s  CRJ7 (Reg-9NAME) took off at 11:11 a.m. on Wednesday. The Tribhuvan International Airport TIA said the aircraft flew from runway 02 and met with an accident near runway 20 towards the east.
