Three seriously injured by lightning

Kathmandu: Three people have been seriously injured in Ainselukharka rural municipality-3 after being hit by lightning.

In the incident that took place last night, Dennis Bhujel, 21, and six-year-old Anisa Bhujel and 15-year-old Samikcha Darji of the locality were injured. Locals said that cousins Dennis Anisha, and Samikcha were seriously injured by the lightning as they were struck by it inside their home.

They fell unconscious and were taken to the primary health center Anselukharka after treatment was not possible at the local health centre. Police inspector of the Area Police Office in Anselukharka, Hari Baral, said all three are currently undergoing treatment at the primary health center, in Anselukharka.

The health workers said that their health is gradually improving and are out of danger.
