Sale and Consumption of meat and alcohol prohibited for 3days at Pashupatinath premises

Kathmandu: The sale and consumption of meat, alcohol and intoxicants have been prohibited for 3 days, on the occasion of Haritalika Teej.
District Administration Office, Kathmandu issued notice on Wednesday, prohibiting in production, sale, transportation, storage and consumption of meat, and alcohol from September 5 (Bhadra 20) till September 7(Bhadra 22).
In a notice, it mentioned to complete Teej in a dignified and safe way, and to maintain the religious and cultural dignity of Pashupatinath premises, production, sale, transportation, storage and consumption of meat and alcohol were prohibited.
Likewise, the Administration has warned to take action if anyone violates it.
