Chairperson Thapa coins every activity inside cooperative sector as 'fake'

Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Inqiuiry Committee, formed to investigate the cooperative embezzlement case, Chairperson Surya Thapa said that every activity inside the cooperatives in Nepal was fake.

Presenting the report of the committee in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Monday, Chairperson Thapa commented on the activities of the cooperatives.

'The cooperative sector is facing 'fake' activities. Everything, including the marriage, properties, general assembly, reports, share members, creditors, accounts, and audit, is fake. The activities against the cooperative are going on, ' said the Committee Chairperson.

Chairperson Thapa said that a total of 56 meetings were held after the formation of the committee. 'During that period, 47 accused were interrogated,' said Thapa.
