Earthquake jolts Bajhang

Kathmandu: An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude has hit the Bajhang.

According to the Nepal Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, the tremor occurred at 10:08 am with the epicentre at Majhigaun on Wednesday.  The Centre reports that earthquakes have been occurring frequently in Nepal lately.

As Nepal is situated in the Himalayas region, it is recognized as one of the seismically most active countries. Before this, a mild quake had struck off Taplejung district with its epicentre at Lhonak in the district on September 15.
