Dashain-oriented security plan: Police to reach crime scene within 5 minutes; Mobilization of 3765 personnels

Kathmandu: Nepal Police have unveiled a festive-oriented security plan.

Organizing a press meet on Friday, District Police Range Kathmandu made the festive-oriented security plan.

The Police Range plans to mobilize its forces to identify areas facing security challenges to prevent criminal activities in festivals.

SSP Basanta Rajaule said security challenges, regarding pickpocketing, theft, smuggling, gambling, illegal distribution of liquor, and expensive fare collection, have been identified.

SSP Rajaule said 3 thousand 765 police would be mobilized to minimize potential challenges in the festival. Police plan to reach the crime scene within 5 minutes and take action within 30 minutes.
