Flooding and landslide kill 9 people, 11 missing in Lalitpur

Kathmandu: The flood and landslide has resulted in the death of 9 people at Lalitpur.

District Police Office Lalitpur, DSP Nar Hari Adhikari said 9 people died in flood and landslide that occurred due to heavy rainfall since Thursday.

Likewise, 11 people went missing. Rescue Team rescued 281 people. Lalitpur Police and Taluk Office with rescue materials and boats deployed 1100 police personnel for the rescue.

77 people from Sanepa, 14 from Nakhu, 15 from Nakipot, 75 from Bungmati, 55 from Chapagaun, 1 from UN Park and 28 from Imadol area were rescued.
