T-20 series: Nepal bags victory against USA
Nepal defeated the USA by 17 runs in Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas on Friday.


Kathmandu: Nepal has bagged victory in the first match of the T20 series against the United States of America.
Nepal defeated the USA by 17 runs in Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas on Friday.
The USA failed to chase the target of 165 runs and scored only 147 runs with a loss of 7 wickets. Shayan Jahangir was unbeaten at 60 runs, but his score was not enough for the USA's victory.
Dipendra Singh Airee took 3 wickets for Nepal. He took two wickets in the 15.1 and 15.2 overs. Dipendra took his third wicket in the last over of the match.
Similarly, Rijan Dhakal, Karan KC, and Gulshan Jha took 1 wicket for Nepal.
In the first innings, Nepal scored 164 runs by playing all 20 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Captain Rohit Paudel scored 49 runs.
Dipendra Singh Airee scored 28, Anil Sah 27, Aasif Sheikh 27, Gulshan Jha 11, Kushal Bhurtel 10, and Sompal Kami 2 runs for Nepal. Karan KC and Aarif Sheikh failed to add numbers to the score sheet.
Saurabh Netravalkar, Jasdeep Singh, and Harmeet Singh took 2 wickets each for the USA.
Now, Nepal will play against the USA in the second match on Sunday. The final match of the three-match T-20 series will be played on Monday.
