Kathmandu: People have demonstrated, against the arrest of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane, at Maitighar Mandala.
Lamichhane's supporters started to protest and sloganeering for his release. They have been chanting various slogans, demanding the release of Lamichhane.
Police stopped the crowd, which started to move towards New Baneshwor after gathering at Maitighar Mandala, at Babarmahal. Then, the crowd returned to Maitighar Mandala for the protest.

Nepal Police's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Lamichhane, in the cooperative's finance embezzlement case, from the Party Office on Friday night. He was taken to Pokhara and has been kept under the custody of the District Police Office, Kaski.
The District Police Office will file a case against Rabi for organized crime and cooperative fraud.
There was a recommendation to investigate G.B. Rai, Rabi Lamichhane, Kumar Ramtel, and Chhabi Lal Joshi, in the cooperative savings' embezzlement case and use it in Gorkha Media Network.
