Pedestrian killed in Palpa truck-hit

Kathmandu: A pedestrian has died when a truck hit him at Rupse of Mathagadhi rural municipality-2 in Palpa district on Thursday night.

DSP Sunil Malla at the District Police Office, Palpa said the deceased has been identified as Tek Bahadur Dhenga (53 year old) of the same place where the accident took place. Dhenga sustained serious injuries when the truck (Lu 2 Kha 145) en route to Phedi from Khahare in the district knocked him down.

The critically injured person was rushed to the Lumbini Medical College where breathed his last in the course of treatment, informed DSP Malla. According District Police Office, Palpa, Police have impounded the truck and detained its driver for further investigation.
