8 died in jeep accident at Kalikot

Kathmandu: A jeep accident has resulted in the death of 8 people at Kalikot.

Bolero jeep met an accident in Palata Rural Municipality ward -3 at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Kalilot Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that local said about the death of 8 people on the spot.

According to Adhikari the death toll of people is yet to be determined. He informed Nepal Views that the locals said that 8 to 9 people died.

Likewise, he said they received information that the jeep was moving normally. As the accident site took place in a remote area, a joint team of police and army went to the site.  He said a helicopter was requested from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the rescue of the injured people.
