Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) has won the election for Ward No. 5 in Gorkha Municipality.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate, Vishnubahadur Magar, won with 486 votes.
His competitor, Bhai Kaji Ale from the Nepali Congress, received 402 votes. According to the Election Commission, Durga Maya Thapa Rana from the CPN (UML), who secured third place, received 345 votes.
A total of 1,373 votes were cast in this ward. In the past, CPN-UML had won in this ward.
