Kirtipur’s newly elected Mayor and Ward Chairperson to take oath at 2:00 p.m.

The Election Officer Office said an oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Kiritpur Municipality auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Kathmandu: Newly elected Mayor and Ward Chairperson of Kiritpur Municipality will take an oath of office and secrecy.

The Election Officer Office said an oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Kiritpur Municipality auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Nepali Congress (NC) Krishna Man Dangol won the by-election in Kirtipur Municipality’s Mayor post, by getting 5, 334 votes. His close opponent CPN (Maoist Centre) Dr. Shiva Sharan Maharjan got 5,55 votes.

Likewise, CPN (UML) Surendra Manandhar received 4,327 votes, and Independent Rajman Maharjan ‘Manav’ 2, 036 votes.
