Wife murders her husband with help of lover to claim 2.8 million insurance money
49-year-old Rana, a resident of Bhurakot, Belauri Municipality-6, was found dead inside his residence on November 28 (Mangsir 13).


Kathmandu: The investigation has found that Siyaram Rana's wife murdered him with the help of her lover, to claim 2.8 million rupees of life insurance money.
The investigation found Rana's wife Janak Kumari and her lover Farukh (30 years old) of Sampurnanagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh as the murderers of Rana.
49-year-old Rana, a resident of Bhurakot, Belauri Municipality-6, was found dead inside his residence on November 28 (Mangsir 13). Police arrested the wife Janak Kumari on November 29 (Mangsir 14), for being involved in the murder case.
District Police Office, Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Raj Joshi said the investigation found that Janak Kumari planned the murder of her husband to claim 2.8 million insurance money.
District Court remanded Siya Ram's wife for trial on December 23 (Poush 8). Recently arrested Faruk is being interrogated.
