BYD India unveils BYD Sealion 7 eSUV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
Kathmandu: BYD India has unveiled the BYD Sealion 7 Pure Performance eSUV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The aerodynamic "Ocean X" styling is one of the key factors of the eSUV. BYD’s Global Design Director, Wolfgang Egger designed the SUV, which features a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, premium quilted Nappa leather seats, 128 colors of ambient lighting, and additional features such as a panoramic glass roof.
Unveiling BYD Sealion 7, the company reaffirms its commitment to transforming the electric vehicle market in India. The company is not only offering performance and luxury but also an environmentally responsible alternative for Indian consumers.
Likewise, it is the 5th all-new product launched by BYD India in 3 years. It will be available in both all-wheel drive (AED) and rear-wheel drive (RWD) configurations offered in Performance and Premium variants.
- Performance Variant: 390 KW of power and 690 Nm, 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, 542km range
- Premium Variant: 230 KW of power and 380 Nm, 100 k.h in 6.7 seconds, 567 km range
The eSUV consists of an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery. The car is regarded as a perfect blend of enhanced safety and performance.

According to Chauhan, the Chinese automaker has an aim to reach 40 dealerships in the country by the end of the month. BYD India has planned to announce the full price for the vehicle next month with delivery scheduled to begin in March.
China’s biggest electric vehicle maker was announced at the ongoing 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo in New Delhi, where it showcased the Sealion, as well as its ultra-premium off-road vehicle the Yangwang U8.
The company has planned several exclusive offers and also gives an 8-year warranty on the battery.
The BYD Sealion 7 is set to redefine the electric SUV space in India with its futuristic tech, luxurious design, and eco-friendly credentials. The company has started the pre-booking campaign for the car. The official price of the eSUV will be announced on February 17, 2025.
