Madan Rai found guilty in child sexual abuse

Kathmandu: Madan Rai has been found guilty of sexually abusing a child.

The single bench of the District Court, Khotang's Justice Narayan Prasad Dahal, found Rai (75 years old) guilty on January 23 (Magh 10).

Rai, founder of Shubhadra-Madan Foundation, was accused of sexually abusing girls, and teenagers studying at the foundation.

Police arrest Madan Rai in alleged children sexual abuse case

The court administration said Rai’s other hearing has been scheduled for February 7 (Magh 25). He can be imprisoned for 3 years.
