Rupandehi District Court releases RSP Chairperson Lamichhane at 10 million rupees bail

Kathmandu: The District Court in Rupandehi has granted bail to Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane in the Supreme Cooperative fraud case.

The court, during a closed hearing under a single bench of Justice Prahlad Kumar Yogi, set the bail amount at 10 million rupees.

Lamichhane, accused of financial irregularities in the Supreme Cooperative of Butwal, had previously been granted bail by other courts in related cases.

Earlier, the Kaski District Court required  6.5 million rupees in the Surya Darshan Cooperative case in Pokhara, while the Kathmandu District Court set bail at 6 million rupees in the Swarna Lakshmi Cooperative case in Kathmandu.

Additionally, a separate case against Lamichhane was filed in the District Court of Rupandehi.
