Maintenance of drinking water supply pipeline at Babarmahal completes

Kathmandu: Maintenance of a water supply pipeline which burst on Wednesday at local Babarmahal, has been completed.

The incident took place when the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) was conducting horizontal drilling to install underground power supply cables.

Chief Executive Officer of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Ashok Kumar Poudel, told RSS that the maintenance of the pipeline was completed after around 20 hours. The maintenance was carried out from Wednesday night.

He said, ' The maintenance of the pipeline has been completed, and water will be distributed soon after completion of water supply testing.'

The Babarmahal area of Kathmandu was waterlogged after a major water supply pipe on the main road burst open.
