KIIT apologizes and suspends 3 staff members
Issuing a statement, KIIT announced the suspension of two senior hostel staff members and one International Relations Officer.


Kathmandu: The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has suspended three of its staff members.
The suspension came in response to an investigation into the suspicious death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal in the college's hostel on 16th February (4th Falgun). KIIT also apologized for the distress caused by the incident.
Issuing a statement, KIIT announced the suspension of two senior hostel staff members and one International Relations Officer.

Prakriti had informed the International Relations Officer in writing about the mistreatment she was facing four weeks ago. However, the college administration did not take her complaint seriously.
In addition, KIIT has urged Nepali students to return to the college and has issued a hotline number to facilitate their return.
