Prakriti Lamsal's last rites performed
Prakriti's 76-year-old grandfather, Devnath Lamsal, performed the last rites on Wednesday night.


Kathmandu: The last rites of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal, who passed away at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha, India, have been performed.
Prakriti’s last rites were performed at her ancestral home in Swargadwari Ghat, Rupandehi on Wednesday night.
Prakriti's 76-year-old grandfather, Devnath Lamsal, performed the last rites. During the funeral, there was a large presence of people from Siddharthanagar.
Prakriti Lamsal’s body brought to Bhairahawa
The body of 21-year-old Prakriti, who was studying at the undergraduate level in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, was brought to her hometown, Bhairahawa, on Wednesday.
Her body was brought home with the help of the Nepali Embassy in India, along with coordination from the local administration, security forces, and the college.
Prakriti was found dead in her KIIT hostel on the Falgun 4 (February 16).
