CAN unveils "2025 Nepal Cricket Calendar"; Srilanka and Australia tour for men's team

The "Nepal Cricket Calendar", which was made public on Saturday, includes age-group, domestic, and international events for both the men's and women's teams.
The calendar also includes various international tours for the men's team as part of the World Cup qualifiers. These include tours to Sri Lanka and Australia.
The tour to Sri Lanka for the T20 World Cup qualifiers is scheduled for July, while the tour to Australia is planned for August.
CAN Secretary Paras Khadka mentioned that during Nepal's tour of Australia, the team will compete in the Top End T20 series, which has been organized in the northern regions for the past 4-5 years.
Additionally, Khadka stated that after completing the Top End T20 series, the plans are underway for the team to stay in Australia for further preparation. 'Right after the Top End T20 series, the plans are underway to stay for another 10-12 days, coordinating with Cricket Australia and State Australia to arrange more T20 international and List A games,' he said.
Secretary Khadka also mentioned that Nepal has received an invitation to participate in the Top End T20 series last year, but due to World Cup preparations and a limited budget, they could not participate.
The competition will feature A teams from Bangladesh and Pakistan. Secretary Khadka said, 'Teams from Australia's Big Bash League and the provisional squad will also participate. The Australia's state associations also send their team in the tournament. In the northern territory, even during the winter months, there is a practice of playing cricket throughout the year, hence this will be a good tournament for our World Cup preparation.'
Moreover, for the senior men's team, the calendar also comprises a 'Pre-Tour to UK' in May. Regarding this, Khadka said, 'From May 15 to the end of May, the Nepali team will be engaging in discussions with county teams. We are coordinating to arrange this as a practice series before heading to Scotland.'
Additionally, a training camp in Sri Lanka for the World Cup Qualification is also scheduled for July.
