Elephant Breeding Centre welcomes new calf

Kathmandu: Rimjhimkali has given birth to a calf at the Elephant Breeding Centre at Khorsor of Chitwan National Park in Chitwan.

Centre Chief Manipuran Chaudhary said Rimjhimkali gave birth to her first calf on Friday night. Sharing that the newborn calf would be named on the 12th day, he added that Tamorkali, Tirthamankali, Loktantrakali, and Chitwankali are pregnant.

There are now nine female elephants and eight calves in the Centre.
