HoR meeting still in limbo
Although the meeting was scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, it had not started by noon.

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives meeting has not started yet.
Although the meeting was scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, it had not started by noon.
On Wednesday, the meeting was adjourned without proceeding after the opposition parties protested and demanded a response from the Prime Minister regarding the removal of Kulman Ghising from the position of Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Front has warned that the House will not be allowed to function unless Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli provides a satisfactory explanation regarding Ghising’s removal from the Authority.
This has been cited as the reason for the delay in convening the meeting. Speaker Devraj Ghimire is currently holding discussions with the chief whips of major political parties in Baneshwar. As of now, there is no information on whether the Prime Minister will respond regarding Ghising.
