7.7 magnitude earthquake strikes Myanmar

Kathmandu: A powerful earthquake has struck central Myanmar.

According to BBC, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck near Mandalay, 16 kilometers (10 miles) northwest of the Burmese city of  Sagaing.

As per the agency, tremor was also felt in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, and many buildings have been evacuated.
