Kathmandu: Kathmandu's air quality is still unhealthy to breathe.

According to IQAir, which measures air quality, Kathmandu still remains the most polluted city in the world today.

On Thursday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 352, but the recent update shows the number has reached 179. This number indicates Kathmandu's air as unhealthy. The AQI of Kathmandu was 232 in the morning.

However, the AQI of Kathmandu has dropped compared to Thursday. Kathmandu is in the second place in the list of the most polluted cities. New Delhi is in first place with 185 AQI.

An AQI above 300 is considered hazardous for everyone. As pollution levels in the air increase, hospitals are seeing a rise in patients with respiratory, eye, nose, ear, and throat problems.

Likewise,  the Ministry of Health has released a statement advising people to stay indoors unless necessary, wear masks while traveling, and avoid highly polluted areas.
