PMC provides paddy seeds on subsidy to farmers

Kathmandu: The Pokhara Metropolitan City (KMC) has provided paddy seeds to the farmers on subsidy.

Manohar Kadariya, the Metropolitan City's Agriculture Division Head, said that 1,500 kg of paddy seeds have been provided at a 50 % subsidy to the farmers.

Stating that various incentive programs have been launched to increase the attraction of farmers towards rice cultivation,  Kadariya said that an incentive amount of Rs 500 per ropani would be provided this year as well.

Farmers have been cultivating 'chaitedhan' (spring paddy) in wards no. 14, 15, 26 and 27 in the metropolitan city.
