Fire destroys 27 houses in Achham

Achham: A fire that broke out on Tuesday night in Jayagad Bazaar, located in Bannigadhi Jayagad Rural Municipality of the district, has destroyed 27 houses.
The fire damaged the property worth over 70 million rupees. The fire spread after a gas cylinder exploded at the IME center operated by Pushparaj Sharma in the main market area, completely devastating the bazaar.
Among the 27 houses that burned down, 11 were being used by local traders as shops.
Achham’s Chief of Police, Ishwori Prasad Bhandari, stated that the estimated damage exceeds 70 million rupees. He added that details of the losses would be collected from the victims as soon as possible.
