President Paudel appoints CPN (UML) leader Pant as Education Minister

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed CPN (UML) leader Raghuji Pant as the Minister for Education, Science and Technology today.

Pant was appointed to the post by President Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Pant was appointed after Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai resigned on April 21, citing health reasons.

The newly appointed Education Minister Pant is an MP elected by the CPN (UML) through the proportional representation electoral system.

Pant is currently a member of the State Affairs Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR). Pant is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.
