Supreme Court sends letter to release Resham Chaudhary
The Supreme Court's joint registrar, Achyut Kuinkel, issued two press statements clarifying that the letter previously issued by Section Officer Mahiman Singh Bista — instructing the arrest of Chaudhary in connection with charges of murder, attempted murder, and robbery — was unauthorized.


Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has sent a letter to Dillibazar jail, instructing the immediate release of Nagarik Unmukti Party patron Resham Chaudhary.

'The letter written by the Section Officer of this court with Ref. No. 19277 dated 2082/01/17 B.S. to the Dillibazar Prison Office, Kathmandu, is unauthorized. A request has already been made to the concerned authorities not to implement the aforementioned letter and date, and action as per the law has been initiated against the official who issued the letter without authorization. This is for the information of all concerned,' the statement reads.
