BJP Foreign Affairs Head Vijay Chauthaiwale calls on PM Oli, Intensifies political outreach in Kathmandu
Vijay Chauthaiwale has already met with nearly a dozen leaders, including top figures, within 24 hours.


Kathmandu: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Head of the Foreign Affairs Department, Vijay Chauthaiwale, has intensified his political meetings in Kathmandu.

Chauthaiwale made a courtesy call to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday. According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, matters related to various issues of mutual relations and interests between the two countries were discussed during the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.
Arriving in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a three-day visit to Nepal, Chauthaiwale has already met with nearly a dozen leaders, including top figures, within 24 hours.
During his three-day stay in Kathmandu, Chauthaiwale is expected to meet key leaders of the ruling coalition, opposition party leaders, and leaders of the Madhesi front.
Immediately upon landing in Kathmandu, he met with Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. Shortly after that, he met with the Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba was also present at the meeting with Deuba.
On Thursday, he also met with leaders of the ruling Nepali Congress and the opposition CPN (Maoist Centre). He held meetings with Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala, General Secretary Gagan Thapa, Nepali Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat, and central member Udaya Shamsher Rana.
Similarly, Chauthaiwale met with CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma. He has also held talks with CPN (Unified Socialist Party) Chairperson Madhav Nepal.
Chauthaiwale has more meetings scheduled through Friday. His visit to Nepal aims to renew relations and build greater goodwill with political parties. He arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning and is scheduled to return on Friday.
