Kathmandu: Mustang is known as the district beyond the mountains.
Located between the two 2 high peaks, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri, Mustang is a magnificent part of nature. It shares a border with Tibet. The district receives less rainfall as it lies north of the Annapurna mountain range.
In the northern part of the district, Bhote, Gurung, Bista, and Thakuri reside. Thakali, Dalit, and other caste people reside in the Southern part of Mustang.
Likewise, Gurung and Thakali follow Buddhism, and other castes follow Hinduism.
