2 women die in car hit accident

Kathmandu: Two women have died after being knocked down by a speeding car at Basantapur in Buddhabhumi Municipality-1, Kapilvastu.

Police Inspector from Area Police Office, Gorusinghe, Birat Sharma Paudel said the car hit them along the Gorusinghe-Arghakhanchi road section as the two were on a walk on Friday morning.

The deceased are Shanta Khatri (60 years old) and Til Kumari Rayamajhi (65). Critically injured after the incident, both Khatri and Rayamajhi breathed their last on their way to a hospital. Police held car driver Khimraj Shrestha, 32, of Sainamaina Municipality-5, Rupandehi district.
